Annie Russell is an emerging comic based in Chicago. When she’s not working as an editor for WBEZ, she performs her whip-smart material in cities all over the U.S. and in Canada.
Annie has opened for Marc Maron on the “Too Real Tour” and for Al Madrigal at the University of Vermont. She has opened for comics like Jen Kirkman, Sam Morril, Jon Dore, Beth Stelling, Greg Fitzsimmons and other national acts.
Annie has performed in the Boston Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival, Green Mountain Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Arts Festival and the Waking Windows Festival. She’s served as a keynote speaker for the Vermont Women Business Owners Network, and regularly brings her dry wit and self-depreciating humor to corporate shows and private events.
She produces and hosts Cringe!, a “wildly unique and wince-inducing” show where brave presenters share their embarrassing student artwork and writing.
She is a producer on Arguments & Grievances, a monthly live debate show and podcast.
